the problem of 21st century's music is no longer to create a work of absolute value. the challenge of the future will be to get away from the prevailing clichés and create a unique situation which can never be repeated. walter benjamin and the mechanical reproduction of the work of art have seen their day. the 19th century pursued the exploration of the boundaries of space, the 20th of the boundaries of time. realistically (illusionary), what remains to the future is magic - "all that magic". when speaking of the unique siuation of the live performance, the 21st remix of the 20th remix does become very important. it becomes impossible to track down the original - archaeological excavation work that leaves the experts and theorists at a loss in their field explorations. only a very few contemporary music critics are exceptions.
